Australian Consultancy Gives Away Free Business Training to Regional Communities Amid Ongoing Economic Pressures

Sparrowly Group

After 11 years supporting regional communities and businesses, Sparrowly Group is taking its expertise back on the road - offering free business capability training and mentoring to regional Australia.

For more than a decade, Sparrowly Group has worked alongside regional communities across Australia, delivering strategic regional development initiatives, supporting businesses and strengthening local economies through capability building, mentoring and growth programs. Now, to mark its 11th anniversary, the Australian consultancy is launching the Build Better Business Regional Training Roadshow - a free initiative designed to bring tailored business training and one-on-one mentoring directly into regional communities.

The program invites regional business groups, local councils and industry bodies to apply to host a workshop and mentoring sessions tailored to business and industry needs, with Sparrowly Group delivering customised training based on local business needs at no cost.

Founder and Managing Director, Giovanna Lever, said the initiative was inspired by a simple belief - regional Australia has helped build Sparrowly Group, and now it's time to give back.

“For the past 11 years, our team has had the privilege of working side by side with regional Australia - supporting communities, businesses and local industries through change, growth and opportunity,” said Giovanna Lever.

“Today, around 90 per cent of our working week is spent in the regions. We've discovered extraordinary places, met incredible people and learned from resilient business communities. The truth is, without the support of regional Australia, Sparrowly Group would not be where it is today.

“This roadshow is our way of saying thank you. Rather than celebrating our milestone internally, we wanted our birthday gift to become a gift for regional Australia,” she said.

The Build Better Business Regional Training Roadshow will provide participating communities with:

* A tailored group business training workshop designed around local industry and business capability needs.

* One-on-one mentoring opportunities for participating businesses.

* Access to Sparrowly Group's business growth expertise and practical strategies.

* Support aimed at strengthening local business resilience, confidence and long-term economic outcomes.

The initiative aligns with Sparrowly Group's longstanding advocacy for regional Australia and commitment to supporting sustainable regional economies.

As cost pressures and economic uncertainty continue to impact communities, Lever said investing in regional businesses remains essential.

“Regional Australia drives innovation, entrepreneurship and economic contribution far beyond postcode boundaries,” Giovanna said.

“Strong regional businesses create stronger communities. Supporting local capability isn't just about individual businesses succeeding, it's about sustaining jobs, families and the long-term future of regional Australia.”

Regional councils, business chambers, industry groups and community organisations are encouraged to collaborate with local businesses to identify capability needs and submit expressions of interest.

“You bring the coffee and the space - we'll bring the team, energy and expertise,” said Lever.
