Aussie & New Zealand Inspiration in Autumn Issue of Out & About With Kids

Out & About With Kids

Australian families taking advantage of the government's half-price flights to tourist destinations hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic will find plenty of ideas in the autumn issue of Out & About with Kids. Featuring Sea World Resort on the cover, the quarterly family travel magazine includes a guide to must visit Gold Coast theme parks, as well as stories about the Sunshine Coast and Cairns in Queensland. Indigenous author Thomas Mayor also reveals why he thinks all Australian families should visit Uluru in the Northern Territory. Other domestic destinations covered include Kiama, Central NSW, Phillip Island and the Great Ocean Road, along with reviews of Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific and Toowoon Bay Holiday Park on the NSW Central Coast.

With our capital cities still suffering from a downturn in visitors, now is a great time to nab a bargain at a CBD hotel. There are some fun offerings for families, from indoor glamping to pyjama parties, as readers will discover in our story about family-friendly city hotels throughout Australia. Whale watching season is also nearly upon us, so we've highlighted some of the best experiences you can have with the gentle giants around the country. And with the Southern Hemisphere ski season also fast approaching, this issue also features a story about taking a toddler to the snow at Perisher, while the best resorts over the ditch are also covered in our story about the top things to do in New Zealand with kids following the exciting announcement of the travel bubble. Families can also discover how to experience Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU in Japan with and without kids. There are also some great insider tips for Japan in our interviews with Sally Miles from Japan National Tourism Organization and celebrity chef Adam Liaw, who's also a regular visitor.

Readers also have the chance to win one of 20 Family Passes to Taronga Zoo Sydney or Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo in celebration of its new partnership with Royal Caribbean Cruises on the Litter Free Oceans campaign. Out & About with Kids has expanded its sustainability news section in this issue because there were just so many incredible things going on in that space. “We really believe in giving tourism operators credit where it's due, and hope our readers will also support them for doing their bit to help make the planet a better place,” editor Angela Saurine said.

Out & About with Kids aims to inspire families to spend quality time together on holidays and create memories that will last a lifetime. The magazine is distributed to both consumers and travel agents, with a temporarily reduced circulation during the pandemic of 8,000 printed copies, with 2.2 million digital magazines distributed via parenting website Stay at Home Mum and Baby to Toddler shows. The magazine also has a growing social media following, with 33,000 followers and nearly 20,000 newsletter subscribers.
