The Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) has appointed I Am Events as its Secretariat and Convention Manager for 2014 following a competitive tender process.  

Established by Michelle Bordignon in 2001, I Am Events is an award-winning Professional Conference Organisation (PCO), and was selected due to a combination of the professionalism, service, resources and technological tools and processes that they will bring to the two roles.  

"I Am Events understands the importance and benefits that associations such as the ASTW provides to its members," ASTW president Kerry Heaney said.  

"We are positive that their work including convention and conference management for Queensland Small Business Week, and their existing experience acting as a secretariat for organisations across the sponsorship and energy industries will enhance the future of our society.  

"Michelle's has received an AFTA award, and her specific experience in the travel industry including Australian Pacific Tours and Insight Vacations, coupled with the I Am Events team's skillset in events and sponsorship management also provides the opportunity for our society to take exciting steps in driving the success of our 2014 member convention."  

I Am Events operations manager Anthony Bordignon said it was the perfect opportunity to work with an esteemed community that has long provided words of wanderlust for travellers across the globe.
