On Tuesday, August 11 evening (7:00pm- 11:00pm), InterContinental Hong Kong presents a “Live Art Performance” by German Artist Jeannine Platz who will be painting the panoramic harbourview from the extraordinary vantage point of the hotel's Lobby Lounge. Relax over cocktails and a light bite and watch the view come to life on her canvas as the evening unfolds.

Artist Jeannine Platz will also be painting the spectacular harbour view from her suite at InterContinental Hong Kong, with the painting featured in her worldwide “Suite View” art project.

THE PROJECT

“Suite View” is a look at the most spectacular skylines in the world through a hotel suite's window. Breathtaking views of the city and its stories are captured on a canvas. This global art project is currently in progress, with Jeannine's Hong Kong stop on August 11th at InterContinental Hong Kong. In the end, all the monumental oil paintings will be presented at a large exhibition and in a premium art book.

THE ARTIST

Jeannine Platz calls the oceans her home. Her desire - the endless space, the hunting for unforgettable horizons. Now she floats - on top of the highest roofs of the world. She has a mission - and she is burning for the answer: WHERE IS THE TOP? WHAT WILL YOU SEE, WHAT WILL YOU FEEL from a different perspective?  Jeannine Platz paints – using just her hands and a scrapper. For years she has been established as an artist with the unique talent of bringing her paintings to live.

Jeannine Platz loves to surprise! This time even herself! She doesn't know what to expect. She doesn't know her angle or her room. She waits for that special moment to capture the view.      Her aim – a powerful yearning: the skyline! The view over a city, harbour, the ocean, a waterfall or desert – in one special moment from a different perspective – it's like it only belongs to her! She catches emotions and pictures, before translating them on her canvas. With passion, she discovers details that are close to our eyes. Jeannine Platz views a place not as a tourist or a traveler. She captures something that is full of secrets and breathtaking: THAT VIEW! Translated and captured by her painting hands and use of colours: 1 on 1. She won't leave her space until her work is completed!
