Arrowing in on Adventure - Whistling Arrow

Whistling Arrow

Whistling Arrow, a Hong Kong based operator, creates and manages a select number of highly distinctive small group adventures in Asia. The eclectic collection includes unique pilgrimage treks around sacred peaks in the Tibetan Himalaya to amazing island - hopping expeditions in Northern Palawan. All the trips are culturally immersive and original in design and allow clients to explore the more remote corners of the world's most diverse continent.

"How can we pioneer travel experiences that are truly imaginative, 'best of breed' and really fire your sense of adventure? Trips that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else." says the owner Adrian Bottomley.  "For example, we are just a few weeks away from launching two more expeditions for 2014; a new self-drive motorbike adventure across the Tibetan plateau to Everest basecamp and a horse trek into the wild Khangai region of Mongolia, to climb the seldom-visited Mount Otgontenger."

For the remainder of 2013, there is also still plenty on offer in terms of their scheduled, small group fixed departures (it is worth noting that for groups of at least 4 people all trips can be customized to suit specific, alternative dates).

Kicking things off in September is the Yading Big Kora trek in the Tibetan borderlands of Western China (http://whistlingarrow.com/destination/yading-big-kora-trek), a spectacular trekking route that encircles three 6000m+ peaks in Sichuan and which in their opinion is the most scenically stunning in the region. This will be followed in October by the Kawa Karpo Kora, a 12 day adventure through incredibly varied mountain topography following in the footsteps of Nomadic Tibetan pilgrims (http://whistlingarrow.com/destination/kawa-karpo-kora-trek).

Finally, there is a unique opportunity to bring in the New Year with a nine day island-hopping expedition on a custom-built outrigger around the karst seascapes of Coron, in the Philippines. Guests will travel to remote areas of this beautiful archipelago to discover hidden lagoons, deserted tropical atolls and swim with dugongs (http://whistlingarrow.com/destination/coron-sea-safari).
