From 1st December we proudly introduce 9 grand cru grower champagnes at GREEN, and we will be the first one in town to offer a "buy one get one free" happy hour offer, daily from 3pm to 8pm. 

Grower champagne is a unique category of champagne, in which grape growers are also the wine makers. These low production champagnes show distinct individuality and style, whereas each of the grape growing and winemaking decisions, including harvest time, use of oak, blending of grapes and level of dosage, determine the flavor.  All the grapes originated from one of the 17 Grand Cru villages of Champagne region, implying the highest tier of grape quality.

9 grower champagnes are sought from 6 grand cru villages that offer diverse style, the taste of terroir, expresses a particular soil and climate, artisanal winemaking and, most significantly, excellent value at HK$158 per glass and starts from $950 to $1,800 per bottle. Grand cru grower champagne selections (all available by bottle) :

Nigel Chan, Director of Wine 
With over 9 years' experience in the wine industry, prior to joining Hotel ICON, Nigel was the Sommelier of Miramar Group, overseeing the wine list for all outlets. He was a regular wine writer for a number of local publications like Capital, Elle and Hong Kong Economic Times. Besides the work at Hotel ICON, Nigel serves as a wine tasting panel member of Cru Magazine. He also presents and educates about wine in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Nigel holds Level Three Certificate of Wine and Spirit Educational Trust (WSET).
