Antor Toasts A Second Successful "Meet The Media" Event

Last night antorwelcomed 29 tourist boards and nearly 100 media to join event sponsors specialist wine tour operator, Grape Escapes and HMS President for their annual “Meet the Media” event, reiterating the valuable relationship they have with the media which has been cultivated over the past 60 years. www.antor.com

 

Throughout the evening media had the opportunity to network with antormembers present including: Austria, Bahamas, British Columbia, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Flanders, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Jersey, Jamaica, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Quebec, Samoa, Serbia, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago.

 

We heard from Chairman, Tracey Poggio, who spoke on antor andits role as an association as well as Mark Hallett, who spoke on behalf of the wine sponsors as Managing Director of Grape Escapes.The evening culminated in a business card draw to win over 20 prizes kindly donated byantor members present at the event.

 

The event was also an opportunity for antorto launch a new Code of Conduct. “In an evolving workplace driven by advances in technology, it is increasingly hard to wade through streams of official and non-official commentary. ANTOR’s Code of Conduct in essence means that the travel industry, the media and the public can feel reassured that the information and service given is both authentic and dependable” says antor Chairman, Tracey Poggio.

 

“Meet the Media” 2014 will be on Monday 22 September.
