Following the huge success of the previous guest chefs for celebrating our 40th Anniversary, The Park Lane Hong Kong has invited celebrity chef Arnold Tanzer, to bring along his world renowned South African flavours to Hong Kong for an exclusive seven-days-only event held at the RIVA and The Deck and our brand new Rooftop Garden from 3rd November to 9th November 2014.
Devoted to the South African cuisine, Chef Arnold will showcase all his techniques with the best quality ingredients and pure flavours to create a real gastronomic experience for our guests. About Guest Chef Arnold Tanzer
Born in the Netherlands, Arnold Tanzer began his culinary career in 1989, working at various hotels and restaurants in Holland, including the two stars Michelin Hotel Restaurant in Corona. He also worked aboard various Holland America cruise liners and was chef to one of Hollywood's most powerful icons, Michael Douglas, before joining Londolozi Game Reserve, one of South Africa's most exclusive private lodges, as executive chef, later becoming group executive of the Conservation Corporation, looking after 22 properties in Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya and South Africa. He was also personal chef to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and his family on their annual African safaris. In 2001, Arnold opened The Delicatessen, an upmarket food store and restaurant, and now runs a consultancy focusing on menu and food development for the industry and management of unique corporate events and a unique venue catering for private and corporate chefs tables in Johannesburg.
