And the Winner is -- Ellen DeGeneres; Her Home is Most Requested on Starline Tour's Annual Top Ten List for 2013

StarLine Tours

LOS ANGELES—Ellen DeGeneres just added another award to her list of recognitions and achievements. Her home is No. 1 on the most-requested list for visitors who take the world-famous Starline Celebrity Homes Tour. This star comedian is used to being around awards, hosting numerous top-rated award programs, with 13 Emmys, 14 People's Choice Awards and even a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award. Now her residence can claim its very own award, as the most requested home to see on the Starline Tours' tour of Movie Stars' Homes.  It's no wonder that Starline customers are fans of Ellen.  In 2012 she conducted tour as if she was a Starline guide on her top-rated afternoon television show, and last month she commandeered a Starline tour van of unsuspecting visitors on to her studio set to be stars of the show.

Each year Starline polls guides on their passengers' most asked for celebrity homes, and the winners are showcased in a coveted Ton List each year.  No. 2 on the list is Katy Perry who held the top spot the previous year.  (When Katy was married to Russell Brand, their home popped on to the list at No. 8.) Despite the fact that he no longer appears on U.S. television, Simon Cowell is still popular and has the No. 3 spot.

Michael Jackson's rental home was not on the tour for one year, but his former home is back on the tour and is on the list at No. 4. Rising star Bruno Mars moved two spots from   No. 7 to No. 5, and Al Pacino also increased his popularity moving up from No. 8 to No. 6.

When visitors board one of the 13-passenger bus they get to hear all of the latest celebrity news and great stories from entertaining and experienced guides who keep track of real estate purchases and prices, and who has vacation homes in Malibu, where Starline Tours also covers.   Two resilient fan favorites in Hollywood are Elvis Presley and Lucille Ball. Their homes are at No. 7 and 8, respectively.

Tom Cruise played a commander in the film “Oblivion'' in 2013 but wasn't able to command a top spot on the list, dropping from No. 4 to No. 9 (he is probably o.k. with that.) Justin Timberlake is the only newcomer to this list; he debuted at No. 10.

Who was on the list in 2012 and did not return? David Beckham departed from the Los Angeles Galaxy and the list. Christina Aguilera's move to a new home in 2013 removed her popularity in Hollywood.

Guides also keep track of passenger requests aboard the Malibu Movies Stars' Homes Tour also vote on a Top 10 list. The tour makes daily departures from Santa Monica Pier to explore this ocean-front community and makes a stop on Malibu Beach for passengers to stroll on the beach and dip a toe into the Pacific.

Cher's compound retained the No. 1 spot on the Malibu Stars Home list. The singer and actress has  held that honor since the list and the Malibu tour begin in 2010. This is her home's final appearance on the list under her name; she sold her residence to Beyoncé and Jay Z. Starline passengers are anxious to see if they'll be spotted around town.  Leonardo de Caprio retained his spot at No. 2, but sold one of his homes to a not-yet-disclosed buyer in December.

Matthew Perry climbed into the No. 3 spot. The very private media mogul David Geffen debuted on the list at No. 4 with his home that was once owned by actress Doris Day. Adam Sandler fell from the No. 2 spot to No. 5, tied with Jennifer Aniston.

Miley Cyrus introduced a new image, and this increased attention had her twerking on to the top ten most requested Malibu homes at No. 6.   Another newcomer to the list is film studio executive and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg at No. 8.  Will Smith and Eva Longoria also made their first appearances on the Malibu list and tied for No. 9. The Will Smith residence is also home to Jada Pinkett Smith and their two famous children, Jaden and Willow.  Last year Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne left Mailbu and the list.
