Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel Proudly Appoints Ms. Titiya Chooto as General Manager

Anantara Resorts

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel is proud to have appointed one of the most successful female general managers in Thailand's hospitality industry – Ms. Titiya Chooto. Bringing with her almost 20 years of key managerial experience, Ms. Chooto is delighted to uphold the excellent reputation of the recently rebranded hotel in one of the capital's most prestigious addresses, as well as enhancing the guest experience with Anantara's signature hallmarks.

Following six years at the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok, firstly as Director of Rooms and then Executive Assistant Manager Rooms, Ms. Chooto joined Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai in 2004 as Resort Manager. After 2.5 years, Ms. Chooto was transferred to Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok as Hotel Manager where she spent 3.5 successful years, before being promoted to become the very first Asian female general manager to be appointed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, moving back up to the North of Thailand to oversee two of their world class properties, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle – the position of which she enjoyed for 4.5 years.

Since March 2015 Ms. Chooto has been general manager of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, formerly the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok which has been under the ownership of Minor International for the past 15 years. Long famed for its impeccable hospitality and superlative guest service, the hotel is now a flagship property for the luxury discovery brand Anantara, and Ms. Chooto is emphasising even further the Anantara hallmarks of gracious Thai hospitality and a warmly personalised service.

Ms. Chooto commented, “Many of the hotel's associates have been part of the team for years and know our clientele very well, and we are immensely proud to offer a sophisticated yet welcoming ambience that ensures all guests feel a part of our family here. I am thrilled to be back and working with the team as we move into the next chapter of this very special hotel's history.”

Editor's Note:

For hundreds of years throughout Thailand, people would leave a jar of water outside their house to provide refreshment and extend a welcome to the passing traveller.  Anantara is taken from an ancient Sanskrit word that means 'without end', symbolising this sharing of water and the heartfelt hospitality that lies at the core of every Anantara experience.

From lush jungles to pristine beaches and legendary deserts to cosmopolitan cities, Anantara currently boasts over 30 stunning properties located in Thailand, the Maldives, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Mozambique, Zambia, the UAE and Qatar, with future properties to open in Sri Lanka, China, Oman, the UAE, Tunisia, Morocco, Laos, Malaysia and Mauritius.
