The Board of Directors of the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau for the year 2004 was officially announced at the Bureau�s Annual Installation Dinner held December 11, 2003 at The Grove of Anaheim.

Charles Ahlers, president of the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau said, �Our Board of Directors bring varied strengths and talents to the table, which will no doubt help lead our organization to a successful 2004. I look forward to working with each of them in the coming year.�

The bureau's outgoing Chairman is Glenn Hale, Anaheim Hilton's General Manager and Area Director. For the past six years, he served as the bureau's Chairman of the Board and was involved in the dramatic multi-billion dollar transformation of The Anaheim Resort� district. "Glenn has been a tremendous ally in rebuilding our area as a top convention destination," noted Charles Ahlers at the Annual Installation Dinner.

The new Chairman is Jerry O'Connell, a 20-year veteran of Orange County's hospitality industry. Jerry started the successful Pacific Coast Sightseeing Tours in 1983 and went on to become a partner of the Crowne Plaza Resort just south of the Disneyland� Resort. He is currently involved in restaurant development.
