The Langham, London is famous for creating great memories since 1865. Its latest memorable occasion on Thursday 6th March will see a unique opportunity to experience a gastronomic dinner created by Michel Roux Jr in the company of rugby legends from England - Brian Moore and Phil Vickery, and from Wales - Scott Quinnell and Robert Jones, before both teams meet at Twickenham on Sunday 9th March in the RBS Six Nations tournament.
This exclusive evening hosted by Will Carling OBE and Michel Roux Jr. will kick off with a Bollinger Champagne reception in Palm Court at 7pm during which guests may mingle with their hosts. Dinner will follow at 7.45pm in the stunning Roux at The Landau restaurant with a bespoke five-course menu showcasing dishes of both Welsh and English provenance, with handpicked wine pairings accompanying each course perfectly matched by legendary wine merchants Berry Brothers and Rudd, holders of two Royal Warrants.
An after dinner digestif of Glenrothes whisky will be served while Will Carling engages the rugby legends in conversation about their memories, providing a personal insight on previous Wales and England encounters and a no doubt amusing finale to this unique evening.

Michel Roux Jr is a multi-award winning chef who holds two Michelin stars at his restaurant Le Gavroche. Michel is a judge and presenter on the BBC’s popular prime time show, MasterChef: The Professionals, and has been a presenter on all three series of ‘Great British Food Revival.’ Michel also recently fronted the highly anticipated return of BBC2’s ‘Food and Drink’. Michel is also an honorary member of Harlequins Rugby Club.
Will Carling OBE was appointed England Rugby Captain in 1988 at the age of 22 the youngest ever England Captain. He went on to lead his country to back to back Grand Slams in 1991 and 1992 and another Grand Slam in 1995. He also led England to the Rugby World Cup Final in 1991. Will captained his county 59 times and won 72 caps for England in a career that spanned 11 years with 10 of those as captain.
Brian Moore won 64 caps for England from 1987-1995 at hooker. He won 5 caps on the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia in 1989. Brian played in three World Cups and in 1991 where he packed down with Jason Leonard and Jeff Probyn.
Phil Vickery won 73 caps for England from 1998-2010 at prop. He won 5 caps for the British and Irish Lions in 2001, 2009. Phil won 145 caps playing for Gloucester Rugby Club where he was known as The Raging Bull. Phil won the 2011 series of Celebrity Masterchef.
Scott Quinnell won 52 caps for Wales from 1993-2002 at prop. He won 1 cap for the British and Irish Lions in 2001. He appeared 59 times for the Scarlets and in that time scored 32 tries for them. Scott’s two brothers, father and uncle all won caps for Wales.
Robert Jones won 54 caps for Wales from 1986-1995 at scrum-half and won 3 caps for the British and Irish Lions in 1989, 1993. Jones was part of the Wales side that won the Triple Crown in 1988 but it was the last time he and fellow his fellow half-back, Jonathan Davies, would play together.
