In an effort to reach more foster children, America West Airlines (NYSE:AWA) and Bag'n Baggage are pleased to announce they have expanded their Donate a Duffel partnership to the airline's hub in Las Vegas. Donate a Duffel is an America West program that benefits the Child Protective Services division of the Arizona Department of Economic Security and the Clark County Department of Family Services by collecting gently used duffels, suitcases or backpacks. These items are given to foster children to carry their belongings when traveling to a new home. This year's luggage drive will take place July 11-24, 2004, in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

The public will be able to drop off duffel bags at the Bag'n Baggage stores in Scottsdale Fashion Square and Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas. Those who visit participating Bag'n Baggage stores during the drive may enter to win an exciting travel package, including two round-trip tickets from Phoenix or Las Vegas to San Diego courtesy of America West Airlines and a two-piece set of luggage from Bag'n Baggage.

"Expanding the Donate a Duffel program to Las Vegas further demonstrates the airline's commitment to making a difference in the communities in which we live and work," said Lindsay Hansen, America West Airline's manager, community relations. "Our employees are pleased to participate in this year's drive as they recognize the need and understand the importance of giving back to the community."

America West Airlines' Donate a Duffel program began in 2000 when a flight attendant for the airline learned of the need for gently worn luggage from an Arizona foster mother. Since then, the program has collected and distributed thousands of bags to Arizona foster children.

America West Airlines is the nation's second largest low-fare airline and the only carrier formed since deregulation to achieve major airline status. America West's 13,000 employees serve nearly 55,000 customers a day in 96 destinations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica.
