America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) initiated new service today between its Phoenix hub and Montana's Glacier Park International Airport providing the only daily, nonstop service between the two destinations. America West is bringing its low fares to the Flathead Valley aboard America West Express, operated by Mesa Airlines. This new flight utilizes the popular 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet.

"We're excited to add an additional Montana destination to our route system, providing our customers with direct access to a state that offers four seasons of recreation including Glacier National Park, several million acres of designated wilderness and the beautiful Flathead Lake," said Dion Flannery, vice president, scheduling, route planning and Internet distribution. "Customers in the Flathead Valley can now take advantage of convenient connections in Phoenix to more than 60 destinations across the U.S. Both leisure and business travelers will also benefit from America West's low fares, wide range of services and exceptional operating performance."

America West Express also provides nonstop service between Billings and America West's Phoenix and Las Vegas hubs. In addition to Kalispell, America West offers customers access to ten other Montana destinations including Glasgow, Glendive, Great Falls, Havre, Helena, Lewistown, Miles City, Missoula, Sidney and Wolf Point through a code-share agreement with Big Sky Airlines.
