America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) is bringing its everyday low fares and great service to several exciting new routes from San Diego. On March 4, 2005, America West will become the only airline offering nonstop service between San Diego and Canada's gateway to the Pacific Rim, Vancouver, Canada. That will be the airline's third point-to-point route from San Diego.

Today America West kicks off non-stop service between San Diego and Los Cabos, Mexico with the departure of flight 6586. The new route follows yesterday's inaugural flight between San Diego and another popular Mexican resort destination -- Puerto Vallarta. Between the two routes, America West will offer San Diego-area travelers eight flights a week to some of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, and will be the only carrier linking San Diego and Puerto Vallarta with scheduled nonstop flights.

The daily flight schedule for the new San Diego service is listed below. Service between San Diego and Puerto Vallarta will be offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Service between San Diego and Los Cabos will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Effective March 4, service to both destinations will increase to daily frequency. The service will be provided by America West Express, which is operated by subsidiary airlines of Mesa Air Group, using Canadair Regional Jets.
