There are plenty of activities to enjoy during a visit to Amelia Island, and now guests can see and research them all in one convenient place Amelia Islands online Itinerary Builder. The Amelia Island Tourist Development Council launched this new, online tool on www.AmeliaIsland.org today. It allows site visitors to plan every aspect of their trip online with just a few clicks of the mouse. Web visitors can access the Itinerary Builder by clicking on Plan Your Trip button, located at the top of the homepage.
Visiting Amelia Island has always been a simple decision, and now planning the trip is just as easy, thanks to our online Itinerary Builder tool, said Carolyn Haney, director of tourism sales for the Amelia Island Tourist Development Council.
When using Amelia Islands new Itinerary Builder, site visitors can choose from five activity types arts and history, dining, recreation, shopping/spas, and sightseeing. Under each activity type, visitors can see the type of activity, businesses offering the activity and the approximate amount of time required for the activity. An add to itinerary button to the right of each activity description allows visitors to add the activity to their proposed schedule, and a tally box tells them how many hours worth of activities they have accumulated.
After selecting from activities that are available year-round, guests can visit the Special Events section to determine if theres a special festival or other event around which theyd like to plan their trip. Once all the activity selection is complete, guests can visit the Accommodations section of the site to choose the perfect lodgings for their trip be it beachfront resort, rental home, hotel or bed and breakfast inn.
The new Itinerary Builder lets guests decide quickly and easily what activities they wont want to miss during their trip to Amelia Island, said Haney. This tool has really made vacation planning simple. Guests can determine how many days theyll need to stay, based on the number of activities theyve selected and the pre-calculated amount of time that it will take to enjoy those activities.
