HONG KONG, 12 AUGUST 2013 - Daniel Boulud, three-star Michelin chef and one of America's leading culinary authorities will visit Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong as guest chef for two exclusive evenings on 12 and 13 September, 2013. Chef Boulud will bring his culinary team from his exquisite flagship restaurants, the three Michelin starred DANIEL in New York City and Maison Boulud in Beijing and prepare a 7-course signature menu to delight the guests' palette. In collaboration with Mayfair Fine Wines, in the honorable presence of Estate Director Debra Eagle, premium wines from Hestan Vineyard will be paired with five savory courses. The evenings will feature signature dishes of Chef Daniel Boulud such as pork head cheese with horseradish & tarragon, foie gras with port wine & pistachio, abalone with lettuce, seaweed & tamaki crisp, sea buckthorn & sake-caviar beurre blanc, and lotte and lobster with pancetta, squash & tahoon cress with Sezchuan pepper sauce. The extravagent menu will be paired with wines from Hestan Vineyard including 2007 Stephanie Red Wine - Meritage, a study in finesse made by winemaker Jeff Gaffner using all five classic red Bordeaux grapes planted for the Hestan Vineyards; and 2007 Hestan Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Double Magnum, which were scored 94 points by Robert Parker, both in an opaque purple color and are top-notch efforts that should evolve for 20 to 25 years.
