AmaWaterways To Give $500 / Cabin To Breast Cancer Charity

AmaWaterways

Award-winning river cruise line AmaWaterways has announced that it will donate $500 for every stateroom sold on each of three nominated river cruises in 2014 and 2015 to support breast cancer awareness, research, prevention and treatment. The three cruises are:

October 30 to November 6, 2014: The Enchanting Rhine on AmaCello, October 26 to November 2, 2015: The Enchanting Rhine on AmaCello and October 28 to November 4, 2015: Melodies of the Danube on AmaSonata

Kristin Karst, Executive Vice President and Co-Owner of AmaWaterways, says: "This is the first time AmaWaterways has earmarked specific sailings as charitable fundraisers to support this very worthy cause. The idea for these cruises came from recent conversations with travel agents. October is an ideal month to enjoy a European river cruise, with beautiful autumn scenery, mild weather and fewer tourists. Best of all, these cruises will provide our guests with a wonderful opportunity to join the fight against breast cancer, which has personally impacted so many of us in one way or another."

The Enchanting Rhine cruise on October 30, 2014 sails between Basel and Amsterdam, calling at Basel, Breisach, Strasbourg, Speyer, Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Cologne and Amsterdam and costs from £1974 per person, including fine dining on board, free-flowing wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, excursions in every port, in-room Internet and infotainment, use of the ship's bicycles and port taxes. Flights are extra.
