Allure French Cuisine of Le Royal Méridien Shanghail launches the second art exhibition in partnership with Galerie Europ'art China. The partnership will continue to provide guests a unique dining experience with a series of art exhibitions that overturn the conventional artistic forms, offering guests a feast of Cuisine, Art and Culture.
The second exhibition displays 6 paintings created by the contemporary French artist Patrick Rubinstein. During this exhibition, his 6 paintings symbolize the Parisian culture and romantism. Each of them contains one signature element of Parisian culture, such as French Cancan, La Dame de Fer (Eiffel Tower) and French theatrical etc. Inspired by the paintings, French Chef Rembrandt uses his own innovation and understanding and creates a new dinner menu where each cuisine reflects one painting on the wall. Guests who dine at Allure will have a chance to unlock Paris through the authentic flavor of the French cuisine and the ambience brought by the paintings.
Daniel Aylmer, General Manager of Le Royal Méridien Shanghai, said: “We are very pleased to launch the 2nd exhibition after the success of the 1st art exhibition at Allure. This Parisian chic themed exhibition will offer guests an artistic journey to discover French Art, Culture and Cuisine. Guests will be inspired by the unique dining experience that combines art and taste in a new perspective.
Fused with creative art ideas, Allure is more than just another French restaurant – it's a place where food meets art. Using the traditional recipes and high quality ingredients, French Chef Rembrandt will impress the guests through his unique art on the plate. Chef Rembrandt insists that cuisine means more than just food; it explores new pairings while expanding people's palate. He enjoys painting as a tremendous pleasure out of the kitchen, as he thinks cooking is just as creative and imaginative as art.

About Patrick Rubinstein
Born in 1960, Patrick Rubinstein is a contemporary French artist who comes from the fashion industry. His works are created on a concept called OPT ART (Kinetic Art). His artworks offer 3 different views which presenting more emotions. The paintings will be seen in color or in black and white when the audience see from different angles.
Patrick had the talent ever since he was a teenager. He likes art and film-based photography and cinema. His inspiration also comes from them. He sliced a photo, slipped another photo inside and glued the new image onto the back. He tried to fold it like an accordion and came up with a three-dimensional image. His 3D concept was born from this creative trial.
He mainly focused on the portrait creations at the begining. He couldn't deal with more sophisticated and super-sized projects. Accompanied by the digital age, his artworks had a huge revolution. His imagination run wild. His 3-D works are not only the magic of 'cut-paste-fold', but the truly OPT ART. The technique used for the creation of these OPT ART pieces has also been identified by I.N.P.I, National Institute of Intellectual Property in 2009.
