Alexander House Launches Cedar Lodge...

Alexander Hotels and Utopia Spas

Guests are in for a real treat as Alexander House Hotel, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the world and Conde Nast Johansens, reveals 19 luxurious Cedar Lodge Suites.

The Cedar Lodge sits adjacent to the original 17th century building and makes a spectacular addition to this already distinctive 5 star hotel. The 19 contemporary suites are spread across two floors and have an authentic cedar wood exterior, which blends perfectly into the fabric of the Sussex countryside. The Cedar Lodge Suites have their own welcoming reception and a personal concierge service will be offered to each room.

In keeping with the impressive natural beauty and size of the cedar tree, the suites themselves are generously spacious and finished to perfection. Each Garden and Garden Deluxe suite averages up to 57 square meters and provides guests with a huge comfortable sofa and dining area. The abundance of leg room extends even further with most suites offering a private balcony or garden terrace. Luxury touches are fragrant throughout so expect a giant bathroom with 2 person bathtub, his and her vanity unit, bespoke furniture, air conditioning and of course, an ultra-comfortable bed! Following the philosophy that people can spend more hours in bed than anywhere else, rooms are designed to cocoon you in comfort. The superior handmade vi-spring beds are finished with a luxurious mulberry silk filled duvet and super sumptuous pillows.

All rooms are named after famous Sussex landmarks and guests staying in suite number 5 are in for a double treat! This duplex Master Suite is set behind floor to ceiling windows and formed with a large open plan lounge and dining area, cloakroom and private terrace. The suite is approx. 100 square meters with the upper floor bedroom presenting a large emperor bed and en-suite bathroom with oversized bathtub and separate rain shower.

For those of you not already familiar with the privately owned and intriguingly unique Alexander House, the hotel is set on the borders of Sussex and Surrey and is conveniently located for Gatwick Airport and central London. Hotel owner's Peter and Deborah Hinchcliffe, who have personally managed and styled each of the rooms, are immeasurably pleased with the suites. “Although we are constantly refurbishing and updating the hotel on a regular basis, the new suites have been quite a project,” smiles Peter. "Like all important developments there have been highs and lows but seeing the finished piece, both Deborah and I are honestly thrilled."
