(London) Dorchester Collection's luxury Mayfair hotel's The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane have revealed that for the first time in Europe, its two celebrated chefs Alain Ducasse and Wolfgang Puck will be combining their expert skills on June 25th for a unique dinner showcasing contemporary French and American cuisine, accompanied by iconic French vineyard and new world wines. This follows a one-off event at Hotel Bel-Air which took place in Los Angeles last year that sold out to guests the moment it was announced.
Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, the restaurant hosting this exclusive event, is one of only four in the UK to have been awarded the prestigious three Michelin stars. The modern and refined approach to Alain Ducasse's cuisine by executive chef Jocelyn Herland respects and champions seasonal produce from the British Isles, and is complemented by great attention to detail and professional, bespoke and friendly service for an unrivalled French culinary journey.
Wolfgang Puck's modern American steak restaurant CUT at 45 Park Lane, opened to critical acclaim in Mayfair in A/W Fashion week 2011. Wolfgang is credited with changing the way Americans cook and eat by mixing classic French techniques with Asian- and Californian-influenced aesthetics with the highest quality ingredients. Since opening in September 2011 executive chef David McIntyre has brought Puck's contemporary American-style dining to his debut restaurant in Europe, where the outstanding steaks and superb wine list have brought in numerous awards, including the coveted GQ 'Chef of the Year' award at the end of last year.
Early details of the menu for the special dinner on 25th June reveal it will consist of five courses, alternating between some of the two restaurant's signature dishes to create a truly unique fine-dining experience, exhibiting the best the two world-renowned chefs have to offer.
The menu will be priced at £350 per person including VAT and excluding service charge. The event will commence with a drinks reception at 7.15pm, followed by dinner at 8.00pm. To book, please call +44 (0)20 7629 8866 and ask for Nicolas Defremont (Restaurant Director, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester) or Loyd Loudy (Restaurant Director, CUT at 45 Park Lane).
