Airline Business

London, 24 July 2002. Air Littoral, the French regional airline which operates both domestic flights within France and International flights within Europe, has joined BSP-UK via the IATA BSP Consolidator System. (http://www.air-littoral.fr)

airlinebusiness | destinationbusiness, the travel representation and management company has been appointed as the airlines UK BSP representative.

The IATA BSP Consolidator System, launched two years ago, makes BSP participation more affordable for small and start-up airlines who, despite the undisputed advantages of BSP participation, have to date been held back by the high costs of joining. The new scheme is based on an alternative fee structure for BSP participation, which is more closely linked to the number of tickets actually processed. The scheme has been created by IATA Distribution Services (IDS) and the Air Promotion Group of which airlinebusiness | destinationbusiness is a member.

Airlines which have to date joined BSP-UK via the IATA BSP Consolidator System, or IBCS for short, include Air Tahiti Nui, Aloha Airlines and TAAG Angola Airlines.
