SAVINGS OF UP TO 500 ON AFRICA TOURS MADE POSSIBLE BY STRENGTH OF STERLING
Cox & Kings has been able to reduce prices on some of its Africa tours by as much as 500 due to the current strength of the British pound against the US dollar. Cox & Kings' private safari Splendours of Tanzania: De Luxe, for example, has been reduced to 2,695 per person in June 2004, a saving of 500 on the brochure price. Uganda: The Pearl of Africa, an escorted group tour, costs just 2390 per person for 4 May, 22 June and 26 August 2004 departures, a saving of 300 on the brochure price.
The 7-night Splendours of Tanzania: De Luxe explores the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti and the Great Rift Valley, and accommodation is in luxury 5-star properties. The price of 2695 per person includes flights, accommodation with full board, transfers and guided safaris. Uganda: The Pearl of Africa is a 9-night escorted group tour and visits Uganda's major sites, including the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls and Semliki. The price of 2390 per person includes flights, accommodation with full board, private transfers and game drives. An optional extension to seek mountain gorillas costs just 870 per person.
"Because of the current strength of the British pound, we have been able to pass some excellent savings on to our customers. We have also been able to negotiate some very good rates with our ground handlers, and these two factors together mean there has never been a better time to visit Africa", said Louise Stanion, Cox & Kings' Africa Product Manager.
