"Nuevo Leon is a state with substantial tourism development, both in business and leisure. We have more than 4,000 foreign companies established in the state, many of them coming from Europe and Asia and mainly from the United States. When we introduce the attractions that Nuevo Leon has to draw investment, one of them is the talent of its people, then there is the infrastructure that the state has to facilitate doing business. Regarding this nonstop service between Monterrey and Europe, society was requesting this route as it will help increasing business meetings and locals who travel to Europe. Nuevo Leon has been characterized for having the highest foreign investment, and this has required traveling from and to all over the world. Now, it will be easier to come from this city to arrive directly to our state," said the state's Secretary of Economy and Labor, Roberto Russildi Montel.
“I thank the government of Nuevo Leon, Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte and all our strategic partners for making this new route possible. Monterrey is one of our main hubs, and with this announcement, we will have around 100 weekly flights to this destination. Connecting Monterrey with Europe will definitely improve connectivity for passengers and air cargo transport”, commented Sergio Allard, Aeromexico's Executive Vice President, Legal and Institutional Relations.
On the other hand, Ricardo Dueñas, General Director of OMA, mentioned: "After several years, Monterrey is once again connected to Europe. This new route consolidates Monterrey's position as the most important hub in the northern part of the country. At OMA, we will continue to make the necessary investments to provide a world-class infrastructure".
