VIENNA, Austria - October 19, 2023 - TourRadar, the world's leading online marketplace for organized adventures, has successfully concluded its annual event, Adventure Together. Held at the prestigious Palais Wertheim in Vienna on October 18 and 19, this hybrid event brought together more than 1,800 travel industry experts and thought leaders from 102 countries for two days of insightful discussions, networking, and collaboration.
Adventure Together attendees had the opportunity to participate in roundtables, panel discussions, and sessions covering key trends and challenges facing the multi-day organized adventure industry. Topics ranged from sustainability and diversity to innovation and future-proof growth.
The event also featured networking opportunities and extras tailored to the needs of different attendee groups, including GuideTogether: A training event in collaboration with TripSchool and the Global Guide Alliance, showcasing some of the industry's top tour guides. TourRadar also announced it would bring back its Guide of the Year program in 2024, which was paused during the global pandemic.
Enlightening Q&A sessions with key members of the TourRadar community offered operators and travel agencies a glimpse into recent developments on TourRadar's platform. For example, the Channel Manager, a flagship release this year is set to redefine the organized adventure category as it allows any operator on the platform to sell their adventures through any channel partner - an agent, influencer, creator, or OTA. Fourteen thousand agents and businesses have already joined the platform. Also previewed, is a new payment solution that allows smooth bookings and flexible remittances.
Adventure Together 2023 garnered attention from representatives within the travel and tech industries, with an eclectic group of 180 VIP travel professionals personally attending the event.
During his keynote, TourRadar CEO Travis Pittman challenged the industry attendees to come together and elevate the whole organized adventure category - collectively building a bigger pie, rather than fighting for the slices of the current pie.

Insights included his belief that good brands create moments but great brands create movements, and that modern brands need to be in the business of articulating what an audacious future looks like and inviting their customers to be part of it.
In an industry-first, three of the top CEOs in organized adventure companies shared the stage in a panel discussion about the industry's future. James Thorton, CEO of Intrepid Travel, Scott Nisbet, Global CEO of Globus Family of Brands, and Travis Pittman, TourRadar CEO discussed the human need to build emotional connections and why organized adventure demand is on the rise.
