ADVENTURE OPERATOR CREATES TRAVEL CHALLENGES WITH A CONSCIENCE
Gane and Marshall Launches Collection Of Eco Challenges, Including New Hadrian's Wall Coast To Coast Trek

Family-run wildlife and adventure specialist, Gane and Marshall, has launched a collection of small-group, “Eco Challenges” in the UK & Ireland, Norway, France, Kenya and Tanzania, all designed with a light environmental footprint and climate care funding included.

The inspiring “Eco Challenges”, ideal for families with older children and small groups of friends, range from moderate to extreme, from four days to ten in length, and encompass a range of activities, including trekking, biking and kayaking. Each of the adventures can be tailored to suit the strength and fitness level of the group.

All challenges are operated under Gane and Marshall's new environmental policy, which includes the allocation of 10 per cent of the tour operator's pre-tax profits to environmental causes, and carbon-offsetting of all flights booked for customers included as standard.

The “Eco Challenges” have been designed for private groups of a maximum of eight people, plus support staff, guides and camp crew, where applicable. Gane and Marshall will also release a number of dates for “open” challenges, where individuals, couples or groups of two or three can join an existing group departure, which has spots available. Dates for open group departures will be published on the website as they become available, and enquiries can be made to Gane and Marshall.

Within the UK, the “Eco Challenges” include the new-to-Gane and Marshall Hadrian's Wall Coast to Coast Trek (England), the Snowdonia Three Thousands (Wales) and the West Highland Way Trek (Scotland). In Europe, there is a triple discipline adventure in the Verdon Gorge, Provence (France), the Ireland End to End Bike Challenge (Ireland) and an Arctic dog sled challenge (Norway).
