The beaches on the Caribbean island of Tobago are popular nesting sites for turtles and so the Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort has introduced a special adopt a turtle wedding package.
Le Grand Courlan is set is a gentle hillside overlooking the mile long Stonehaven Beach which is visited by leatherback turtles between March and September. Now Le Grand Courlan will adopt a turtle for any couples marrying at the resort during the turtle nesting season. Couples also have the chance to name the turtle that is adopted on their behalf.
The adoption is done through local charity SOS (Save our Sea Turtles) Tobago which even provides couples with an update on the turtle at the end of the season. The charity also offers the opportunity to go turtle watching in the company of guides to see turtles laying their eggs or to see hatchlings heading to sea.
There is a great choice of romantic wedding locations at Le Grand Courlan including a terrace by the beach or overlooking the sea and even a beautiful bridge by the swimming pool.
Couples can enjoy a free resort wedding by booking a stay of 10 nights or more on a half board or all-inclusive basis. Those staying on an all inclusive basis, also receive three 30-minute spa treatments per person at the resort's spa.
The wedding package includes a bouquet and buttonhole, wedding cake, a decorated wedding location, wedding ceremony, a private dinner for two on the balcony of the room and return airport transfers. The onsite team takes care of all the arrangements and paperwork, ensuring the couple has a happy and stress-free day.
