Mark Warner has found that its summer activity holidays <http://www.markwarner.co.uk/activity-holidays> are more popular than ever nearly one year on from London 2012, with families inspired by the event’s sporting champions to try their hand at sailing, tennis and cycling on holiday.
 
Numbers are up in Mark Warner’s Greece resorts, with bookings increased by 72%, compared to this time last year (four out of eight of Mark Warner’s summer resorts are in Greece).

David Hopkins, managing director of Mark Warner says, “Last summer, the eyes of the world were on the Olympics in London, and we’ve noticed that our customers have been inspired by that fantastic event, as well as Olympians such as Ben Ainslie, Andy Murray and Victoria Pendleton. At our summer resorts, people of all ages can try their hand at sailing, tennis and mountain biking with our expert staff on hand to make sure they get the best experience on holiday inspired by the lasting legacy of the 2012 games.”

Mark Warner invests heavily in activity equipment at its summer resorts, for example it has spent £250,000 on new watersports equipment this year.  Mark Warner’s qualified watersports staff are on hand to help with first class FREE tuition and at most of its beach resorts it offers Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sailing and windsurfing courses.  

Mountain biking is growing in popularity and Mark Warner offers guided tours of differing levels of ability and mountain bike hire for FREE at most of its resorts. This year, the company has increased its spend on its biking operation, spending £41,000 this year on a brand new fleet of GT Avalanche bikes, which are the perfect specimen to take on mountainous terrain or coastal routes.

With 30 tennis courts spread across Mark Warner resorts, there is plenty of tennis for everyone, from a variety of coaching courses or private one to one tuition.

Kids can take part in all the action as there's a full programme of daytime activities and evening entertainment included in their daily children's clubs (which are included in the price of the holiday). RYA courses and junior tennis lessons are also available at a small additional cost.

TURKEY - Sea Garden <http://www.markwarner.co.uk/sun-holidays/turkey/sea-garden>, near Bodrum Turkey £599pp - Depart Heathrow on 1st June for seven nights at Mark Warner’s Sea Garden resort in Turkey.
