ACE Cultural Tours is pleased to present a curated selection of tours taking place throughout 2020, including the announcement of two brand new UK tours, exploring the fine country houses of North Norfolk and the fascinating modern architecture of the East Midlands. More distant destination highlights include explorations of the stunning natural landscapes and wildlife of Austria, Borneo and Arctic Finland and Norway, archaeology in the Dordogne and the Cyclades, and art and culture in South Korea, Odisha and West Japan.

The Dordogne

April 20 – 27, 2020 with Moira Tait & Juliet Heslewood | £2595

Accompanied by two French history and archaeology experts, ACE is offering a chance to explore this French region rich in prehistoric sites and remains. Borneo

This new ACE tour has been specially designed to introduce travellers to the uniqueness of Borneo, one of the most stunning wildlife areas of the world. Planned with Marcus Kohler, an international wildlife consultant, ecologist and ornithologist, the itinerary will introduce travellers to a huge variety of flora and fauna, from forest kingfishers and flying squirrels to the proboscis monkey and orangutan. Marcus will lead the group in exploring the rich history and culture of Borneo and in learning the importance of conservation on this unique island.

Country Houses of North Norfolk

September 21 - 25, 2020 with Oliver Gerrish | £1495

In this brand new UK tour planned with and led by new ACE Tour Director, architectural historian Oliver Gerrish, we will discover the histories and aesthetics of fascinating country houses, fine examples of Jacobean and Palladian architecture across North Norfolk, from Blickling Hall, once in the possession of the Boleyn family, to Felbrigg Hall, with its contrasting east and west wings exemplifying the architectural styles of the early and late seventeenth century respectively. The group will also visit coastal curiosities – including the enchanting Shell Museum in Glandford and St Margaret's Church in Cley-next-the-Sea.
