Accor, the largest international hotel operator in the Asia Pacific and Indonesia, today announced the launch of a Bahasa Indonesia version of accorhotels. Indonesian speaking travellers will now be able to search and book hotels in local language ensuring improved access and efficiency.
The keynote address at the event was delivered by Mari Elka Pangestu, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia who said, "The tourism industry is one of biggest revenue contributors for Indonesia. With global tourism growing at an average of 4.5%, and Indonesia at 9.5% we are of reaching our target of 8 million foreign tourists in 2012 reflecting a 25% growth in 2013. This means, all related stakeholders such as the government, private sectors and the public at large will surely share the responsibility to achieve this objective. I am very pleased with Accor's initiatives to help promote tourism on the digital forefront. With the increasing internet penetration globally, the tourism industry needs to embrace digital technology to reach more domestic and international travelers."

The launch of accorhotels.com in Bahasa web portal is part of the implementation of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that is also signed today by Accor Indonesia and Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Indonesia --- with both parties agreeing to collaborate on tourism promotion.

Accorhotels.com in Bahasa has all features of the English version, including real-time availability data of hotel rooms, dynamic pricing based on market demand, flexibility in travel planning, comfort level and access to more than 4,000 hotels around the world.
Accor e-commerce base includes 16 sites in 32 markets with an average of 17 million visitors per month. Accorhotels.com can attract an average of almost 8 million visitors per month from around the world, an increase of 21% compared to that of 2010.
