Accor, the largest international hotel operator in Asia-Pacific, announces the appointment of Jens Uwe Parkitny as Vice President, Digital Marketing and Distribution - Asia-Pacific.

In his newly created role, Mr. Parkitny is responsible for Accor's digital distribution and marketing strategy across all direct online channels and loyalty programs throughout Asia-Pacific.

Mr. Parkitny has over 15 years' experience in the online travel distribution field, having successfully developed and managed online travel businesses in Europe and Asia for Microsoft and Expedia Inc since 1997. He most recently spent 3.5 years as Managing Director of Expedia Affiliate Network Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong and Singapore. He also served several years on the Board of Directors of eLong.com, one of China's largest Online Travel Agencies.

Based in Singapore, Mr. Parkitny reports to Graham Wilson, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Accor Asia-Pacific.

A national of Germany, Mr. Parkitny is a trained senior journalist with profound experience in on- and offline publishing and he holds an honours degree in Business Administration, specialising in Travel and Transport.
