The MGallery Literary Collection to launch at Mount Lofty House
The MGallery Collection of nine hotels in Australia is proud to announce a literary collaboration with The Wheeler Centre, the cornerstone of Australia's literary activity.
'The MGallery Literary Collection with The Wheeler Centre' will bring a breath of literary elegance to each hotel in the MGallery Collection that already evoke their own memorable story that can be experienced through the hotel's unique characteristics.
The Wheeler Centre drives the development and celebration of literature, fostering broad public engagement in books, writing and ideas. Through The Wheeler Centre, Australian writers will be introduced to the MGallery Collection and take up residence in one of the hotels for three nights. The writer will then create an exclusive short story inspired by their stay experience.
The Literary Collection of short stories will be published into an edition de luxe, and released as an epilogue to the collaboration, exclusively for all MGallery Collection hotels in Australia.
As part of the collaboration, literature enthusiasts are invited to share in this experience at an 'In Conversation' event with the writer. A lively discussion should be expected, accompanied by fine wine and delicious cheese.
Favel Parrett will be the first writer to reside at Mount Lofty House in the Adelaide Hills and will be the first participant in the 'In Conversation' events which commences 8 April 2015. Michael Williams, Managing Director of The Wheeler Centre will be hosting the evening which will be as informative as it will be interactive.
The event will take place in the Piccadilly Restaurant at Mount Lofty House and will include wines from local vineyards including Shaw and Smith, Deviation Road and Henschke, cheese from Udder Delights and Woodside, along with canapés.
To reserve tickets to the inaugural 'In Conversation' event, starting at 6:30pm on 8 April at Mount Lofty House, call 08 8339 6777or emailstay@mtloftyhouse.com.au. Tickets are $65 per person.
