CAA SEEKS LEAVE TO APPEAL COURT DECISION.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is seeking permission from the Court of Appeal to appeal the decision in the judicial review case concerning the definition of a package holiday and the need to hold an ATOL. Members will be updated on the progress of this application. As this matter is still before the courts it is not appropriate for ABTA to issue general advice on the court's decision, but if Members wish to discuss the impact of the case on their own business, they should contact the ABTA Legal Department (legal@abta.co.uk) for advice on 020 7307 1961.

The UK Passport Service (UKPS) has launched a new micro-site aimed at the travel trade. The website is available at passport.gov.uk/traveltrade and includes key information such as how to order passport contact cards for customers, and the latest leaflets relating to British Passports.
