ABTA has, this week, launched BookBritain.net - a new on-line information resource and booking system for travel agents who sell the UK and Ireland.
The new website has been developed in recognition of the potential for growth in domestic bookings and provides an online education area that allows travel agents to become more familiar with a wide selection of UK products, as well as links to commissionable UK products enabling agents to book directly with UK suppliers.
ABTA is inviting tourist boards and operators who have online training tools to provide a link from BookBritain.net so agents can learn about particular products, destinations and suppliers.
UK operators are also invited to provide links to their sites from BookBritain.net so that agents can easily sell their products. There is a small administrative fee for this service, to cover costs.
ABTAs UK Tourism and Leisure Group has initiated and developed BookBritain.net and Chairwoman Yvonne Borg said: Brits are in the process of falling back in love with their own country and we are delighted that we can help ABTA Members tap into this renewed enthusiasm.
If you would like to be featured on the site please contact Vicki Wolf at ABTA on vwolf@abta.co.uk or call her on 0207 307 1916. To view the site, see www.bookbritain.net.
