(Hong Kong, October 2013) Above & Beyond, the award-winning Chinese restaurant within Hotel ICON, was named as one of the world’s ‘Best New Restaurants’ in Conde Nast’s 2012 ‘Hot Tables’ list. Further enhancing the unique dining experience, Above & Beyond will be serving up a Chinese-style afternoon tea set starting this December.

All the goodies showcase a gastronomic twist on traditional Cantonese specialties – in true Chef Joseph Tse fashion. Joseph is our Chinese Executive Chef who specialises in Cantonese cuisine. The afternoon tea starts with a Sweetened Almond Cream with Lotus Seeds and Lily Bulbs to wake up your appetite. With 7 dim sum specialties taking centre stage including a Crispy-fried Puff stuffed with Prawns, Pork Dumpling with Halibut and Black Mushroom, Mushroom Dumpling with Pumpkin, Crispy Taro Cake, Crab Meat Puff, Baked Goose Liver and Pineapple Puff, and Smoke Duck Breast delicately layered in Steamed Bun.

Continued with a collection of melt-in-your-mouth sweet treats carefully crafted by Executive Pastry Chef, Danny Ho, this includes a Chestnut Crème Brulee, Raspberry Lemon Cheese Ball, Chilled Jelly with Lychee and Osmanthus, Sesame Tuille along with many other treats.

This oriental afternoon tea set will be served every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday between 3:00pm to 5:30pm and priced at HK$488* per set (for 2 people) served with your choice of tea or brewed coffee.
