This month also sees new seasonal menus from Martin Berasategui’s Michelin starred M.B. restaurant.
The five-star resort is currently home to ten incredible restaurants including two Michelin starred dining options at Martin Berasategui’s M.B. and the outpost of Madrid’s Japanese fusion Michelin star Kabuki restaurant. This month Abama adds a decadent venue for guests to enjoy pre and post dinner drinks with the launch of its brand new Champagne Bar – the hottest place to savour Moët Ice Imperial, the first and only Champagne especially created to be enjoyed over ice.
Benefiting from year round heat on the balmy island of Tenerife, Abama is the perfect Winter sun destination and with this in mind has tailored its new Champagne Bar to offer the most cooling Champagne treat. The new bar offers guests yet another stylish venue to share with friends and family.
Set in the heart of the resort at La Puerta del Sol the Champagne Bar is situated in the resort’s Moroccan-style citadel beneath the grand archway of its impressive architectural design. Based on the ancient Chinese principals of energy flow the area was originally built to optimise positive energy facing the volcano of Teide to the East and the Atlantic Ocean to the West. The new bar is also positioned next to the resort’s Koi Carp pool, home to sixty five vibrantly coloured Koi Carp to further instil a state of bliss and tranquillity.
As the sun sets, guests will enjoy the latest creation specifically developed by Moët et Chandon to be served on ice for a pure moment of summertime pleasure year round. Tailored to suit every taste Moët Ice Imperial can be mixed with a number of ingredients and Abama’s sommelier will offer a menu of pairings including; mint leaves, lime and grapefruit zests, cucumber peel, ginger, Cardamon seeds and red fruits.
In addition to the new Champagne Bar, Abama’s basque chef Martin Berasategui unveils his brand new menu at M.B. for the next season. The seven Michelin starred chef received his first star for M.B. at Abama in 2010 and has been stunning guests with his signature strength of taste fusions and creative menus for many years. A taster of what’s to come for the Autumn follows:
- Red prawn Carpaccio seasoned with Espelette pepper on a raifort tofu and a biscuit
- Truffle gelatin on a bed of smooth foie-gras cream with sweet and salty touch
- Emulsified raw fennel pearls in risotto
- Line-caught hake, served vichyssoise, truffle pearls and tomato fog
- Wild rabbit à la royale, on a bed of green cabbage, apple cores and perifollo root
- Wagyu loin tataki marinated in thyme and orange, iced powder of foie, served with silver skin onions and citric teriyaki sauce
- Barnyard egg yolk with herb carbonara, hints of beet, cheese and truffle
- Cold basil essence with lemon sorbet, frozen juniper and hints of toasted almonds
- Iced chocolate sponge hazelnut cake, coffee ice cream and frozen whisky.
