The first spot away from the city is one of the greatest archeological discoveries of the 20th century, the must see Terracotta Warriors, army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang buried 2,200 years ago. You will then be driven up to the Jade Valley, where a renowned Chinese architect has built a winery, and against all odds has actually made some pretty decent tasting wine. Enjoy wine tasting and lunch at this peaceful and refreshing estate. Your Insider will drive you further up in the mountains to a lovely valley, drive through an old village, and visit a house with architecture very unique to the Shaanxi region. Local fresh dinner will be served on a terrace surrounded by nature; take time to listen to the wildlife. Have a swim in the clear natural stream next to your hotel, look up and gaze at the stars before falling asleep in this little piece of paradise.

For the second day, your Insider will choose charming little mountain roads to bring you to the very gem of the region: a Buddhist temple nestled in the forest which survived earthquakes and revolutions and where thousands of Buddhist statues have been miraculously preserved. Traditional lunch will wait for you on the Loess Plateau as well as a fresh bottle of wine. You will then meet authentic cave dwellers that have kept the same way of living for centuries. Have a walk in Xi'an budding art district before meeting the Giant Pandas to finalize your Grand Escapade.

Reinvigorated, you are ready to fly back to the frenzy of your city.
