Private Andalucian Hideaway Cortijo El Carligto is delighted to announce its new partnership with a boutique culinary experience specialist to further strengthen the five-star culinary and experiential opportunities in which it already excels.
The privately owned El Carligto estate in the Andalucian region of southern Spain offers all the luxury and service of a five-star hotel, with the added privilege of blissful exclusivity and restorative rejuvenation. The luxury hilltop estate comprises two stylish villas that set a new standard for the luxury villa rental market, offering one of a kind experiences to stir the heart and enrich the soul.
The owners of El Carligto are infectiously passionate about local Andalucian cuisine and creating bespoke gastronomic experiences in their home province of Málaga; working closely with local producers, they exceed the expectations of discerning guests looking for a little something out of the ordinary whilst staying at the estate. From private tours with some of Andalucia's most talented artisan producers and private sessions with top chefs, to fine wine tastings and tours, in-house chef services and cooking courses plus exclusive access to UNESCO World Heritage sites, El Carligto delights in expanding its gastronomic offering thanks to the new affiliation with Paladar y Tomar.
This boutique tour operator is the brainchild of two Spanish natives, Valeska Idarraga and Fernando Paredes, who design bespoke experiences in Spain for the most discerning of travellers. With a taste for authenticity and singularity, they weave memorable stories through home-cooked adventures with gastronomy as the common thread.
Joining forces to provide guests with privileged insight into local cuisines and heart warming gastronomic experiences, this inaugural collaboration sees El Carligto and Paladar y Tomar combining their first-hand knowledge and presence in the region to translate the beauty of the local culture, history, nature and lifestyle of the destination through the power of cuisine. The unique offering delves deep into the ascendant Andalucían culinary scene, particularly in Málaga, which is emerging as a new power player in Spanish gastronomy.
American owner of El Carligto, Alan Hazel, says, “The partnership with Paladar y Tomar takes the culinary offerings here at El Carligto to a new level. With an extensive network of contacts including winemakers and some of the most influential names in the Spanish culinary sphere, we are confident that we will delight and inspire guests looking for some of the finest gastronomic experiences in the whole of Spain. We can't wait to share our enthusiasm and passion for local cuisine with visitors to our Mediterranean hilltop this summer!”
The private luxury Andalucian villas sit in serene hilltop seclusion with more than 10 acres of sculpted gardens, natural rural landscapes and two inspiring outdoor pools seemingly perched at the edge of the world. The estate sleeps up to 14 guests in total, inviting multi-generational groups to holiday in peaceful seclusion alongside one another in the private luxury homes.
Prices for the exclusive weeklong culinary packages start at about €5300 per person for groups of ten, however the breaks can be personally tailored to suit specific requirements and individual tastes.
