Wednesday 21 March Jumeirah Carlton Tower hosted a drinks party in celebration of Sophie Conran's uniquely crafted egg that has been on display at the hotel, forming part of the world-famous Fabergé Big Egg Hunt.
The party, held at the newly re-opened The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant, brought together members of Sophie's family including Sir Terence and Lady Victoria Conran, Caroline Conran, Sebastian and Gertrude Conran, Ned Conran, Cynthia Conran and Sage Conran as well as a host of friends of the family.
Derek Picot, General Manager of Jumeirah Carlton Tower welcomed the "Talent of Conrans" in attendance and congratulated Sophie on the creation of such a beautiful egg.
In celebration Derek announced that a new cocktail, 'Sophie's Designer Blazer Cocktail' will be added to the menu at The Rib Room Bar so that guests and visitors alike can toast Sophie's egg. The barmen demonstrated the making of the new cocktail and following a tasting, it seemed to meet Sophie, her friends' and families' approval!
Sophie Conran said: "I am thrilled that my egg is in such a fantastic and prestigious location. I think Jumeirah Carlton Tower, which looks over Cadogan Gardens as it bursts in to spring, is a very fitting home for the egg and I hope it will make people feel uplifted and perhaps smile a little."
Sophie Conran's egg will be on display at Jumeirah Carlton Tower until the Easter weekend. For more information, visit www.jumeirahcarltontower.com or follow the hotel on twitter @JumeirahCT
