City of Dreams saw a star-studded evening at the TABOO 2013 - Grand Opening Night. Nearly two hundred stars and celebrities explored their deepest desires and had their adrenaline pumped up by a sexy, provocative and sensual experience, brought to them by TABOO the Show of Secret Fantasies.
Once again City of Dreams collaborated with Franco Dragone, the mastermind behind The House of Dancing Water, to put together more mind-blowing elements of pure sensuality for an inspirational new cabaret experience, in the space of just a year. Performed by top-notch artists around the world, the all-new TABOO is a feast of sexy cabaret and sensual choreography with all-new stage music, lighting and interactive elements. It leads the audience through an eye-opening experience of sensuality that teases your sexual senses. TABOO has been on stage at Club CUBIC since April. Shortly subsequent to the first weeks of shows, it has quickly become the talk of the town with overwhelming praises and unleashed numerous secret fantasies.
The 70-minute seductive show brings down the house, as evidenced by the guests' unanimous applause and their cry of bravo. Highlights include Talia Marino, the Cuban American dancing goddess, who leads the audience into the fantastic realm of strip clubs with suggestive and feminine pole actions; Martin Charret and Valeria Chyzhevskaya's passionately sensuous act tells the story of a man and a woman who meet and are instantly drawn into a forbidden encounter. They embrace, their bodies mingling creating shapes that only two lovers can imagine. Lucky Hell from Finland brings a mesmerizing number with the 21-inch sword that stabs unexpectedly and the fire that threatens your life; while the Moldova-born Ivan Zubkevych enjoys a relaxing sauna on the stage that is transformed into an exotic sauna room.
Before going on their seductive journey into the secret fantasy world of TABOO, the glamorous crowd took their turn on the hot pink carpet to show their fashionable take on the Johanna Ho X Ground Zero T-shirt specially designed for TABOO. They included Christy Chung, Lynn Xiong, Jennifer Tse, Mr. & Mrs. Kasey Lin, Mr. & Mrs. Calvin Choi, Mr. & Mrs. Stephen Hung, Alice b, Uny Chiu, Mr. & Mrs. Hiroki Uchimoto, Nicola Cheung, Gigi Chao, Sean Yeung, Helen Rong, Pauline Yam, Almen Wong, Vinci Wong, Jonathan Young, Albert Wong, Edwin Ing, Mr. & Mrs. Otto Chan, Rosemary, Mark Ryan, Kennis Tai, Veronica Lam, and etc.
Ms. Carina Lau said at the presentation ceremony took place in the afternoon: "TABOO entices its audience with sensual elements and flair. It also ignites my passion for the stage, an aspiration I have yet to realize. Performing live for an audience takes vision, courage, passion and wits, qualities I witness from the show, its creators and the performers. I am really impressed by the high caliber of the team. TABOO truly is entertainment at its best."
Ms. Christy Chung said: "It is exciting to see how entertainment has flourished in Macau in recent years. One just did not expect to find such a world-class cabaret experience - something very European - in an Asian city like Macau. I really enjoyed the sexiness infused in the choreography throughout the show, and the little storylines hidden in each scene have really woken some of my secret fantasies!"
Ms. Lynn Xiong said: "I really enjoyed watching the female artists dancing in their glamorous costumes. They were all so sexy and designed to show off the curves of a female body, especially the ones on Lucky Hell, at first she looked like another sexy pretty girl in her costume, and suddenly she pulled out the long sword and performed the breathtaking act! It was also enjoyable to see men experience the love and hate for high heels!"
Ms. Christine Ng said: "I like every one of the scenes, they are all very sensual and suggestive, they are like the little voice that whispers into your ear, revealing everyone's secret fantasies without being vulgar. The creators of TABOO dance around this fine line beautifully. I surely learned something from the scene with the couple in love."
Ms Jennifer Tse said: "My favorite was Talia, she is such a versatile dancer! One moment she was the wild seductress on the pole, the next she was the untouchable ballet princess on the hoop in the middle of the air. Both acts were equally mesmerizing and gripping!"
TABOO has been on stage at Club CUBIC, City of Dreams Macau on Tuesday to Saturday evenings since April 13, 2013. Come join this eye-opening experience of sensuality and let loose your deepest secret fantasies. Tickets and hotel packages are now available from HK$580 and HK$1600 respectively.
