London, May 2018 – The countdown has started for the celebration of the second Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza, showcasing one of Spain's biggest resort collections on 25 May 2018 at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel organised by Mercedes-Benz Spain and Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, together with Madrid's international trade fair institution, IFEMA, following Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

Fashion labels Alvarno, Andrés Sardá and Jorge Vázquez as well as 2nd LAB by 2nd Skin Co. and Custo Barcelona will feature at the 2018 edition of MBFWIbiza representing the cutting-edge of Spanish fashion with their 2019 resort collections. They will also be joined by London-based designer and beach & swimwear brand Melissa Odabash.  

As well as bringing the most current labels to the heart of Ibiza and setting the fashion agenda for summer 19, the event marks one of the biggest social gatherings in Ibiza, positioning Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel as a meeting-place for key influencers from around the globe.

Features of the 2019 resort collection which will be showcased on 25 May include relaxed, feminine pieces with a happy and fresh style, boasting elements of colour and bold and playful prints, created for enjoyable moments next to the sea or for an action-packed holiday. For the evenings, the pieces can be exquisitely transformed for a sophisticated event, oozing femininity and good taste.

Andres Sarda's catwalk will feature inspiring women enjoying a warm and tropical atmosphere at different times of the day; designer Melissa Odabash will star in the catwalk with her latest 'Après Plage' collection featuring dresses with bold prints bringing a touch of 1960's French Riviera to the Ibiza setting. Custo Barcelona will present pieces brimming with creativity and innovation. Jorge Vázquez brings a unique collection inspired by action-packed and adrenaline-filled trips, created for adventurous yet feminine woman.  2nd LAB by The 2nd Skin Co will bring an elegant, youthful and fresh collection, which kicks off with retro-style floral prints whilst the Alvarno collection reflects a relaxed party atmosphere bringing the personality and magic of Ibiza to the MBFWIbiza catwalk.

MBFWIbiza is directed by Charo Izquierdo, fashion and beauty events manager at IFEMA and director of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. Speaking ahead of the event, Izquierdo says: “In this second edition of Ibiza Fashion Weekend, we have grown the catwalk programme, incorporated leading Spanish labels, and a guest international designer. These features are the next step in terms of consolidating the event at home and overseas.”
