A personal touch at T’ang Court this Mother’s Day
T’ang Court at The Langham,Hong Kong has an extra special Mother’s Day menu planned this year, courtesy of Restaurant Manager,Danny Chan.
Danny, who has been at the helm of the two Michelin starred restaurant for over 20 years, has worked with Executive Chef Hin Chi Siu, to create an original Mother’s Day menu. The menu is inspired by some of Danny’s fondest childhood memories and the dishes his Mother used to prepare for him. Originally from a large family who enjoyed frequently dining out together, food has been a major part of Danny’s life from a young age. It is these memories that led him into his career withT’ang Court.
Danny Chansays: “I wanted to do something a little different this Mother’s Day and when thinking of ideas I was inspired by some of my favourite childhood tastes and thought, what better way to honor my late Mother than a menu dedicated to her. This menu has a very special meaning for me; my Mother would prepare similar dishes and use some of these ingredients frequently when I was a boy or choose them when we dined out at family celebrations.”
T’ang CourtMother’s Day menu is priced at HK$1,350 per person and features an array of special items, as well as Danny’s chosen favourites: Fried rice with duck, chicken and conpoy wrapped in lotus leaf and baked sago pudding with chestnut paste.
