Réseau Charlevoix have announced the introduction of a new Charlevoix Light Rail Transit service linking Québec City, Côté-de-Beaupré and Charlevoix for summer 2015, replacing the scenic train Le Massif for 2015.
The new Light Rail Transit will run 13th June until 11th October 2015 with 3 journeys a day between Montmorency Falls in Québec City and Baie-Saint-Paul. This train will also now stop at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and Petite-Rivière-Saint-François. Trains will run from Wednesday to Sunday between 13th June and 30th June and 1st September to 11th October and they will run 7 days a week from 1st July until 31st August. There will also be four trains between Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie with stops at Les Éboulements and Saint-Irénée from Wednesdays to Sundays from 13th June until 11th October.
According to Marc-Vincent Bobée, General Manager at Groupe Le Massif, “Groupe Le Massif's main development goal has always been to generate a greater number of tourist visits to the Charlevoix region, and simplify transit between local attractions. Rail transit is at the heart of our project, and today we are pledging to offer increased rail transit access to the region's residents, as well as its visitors.”
