Hong Kong � 11 December, 2009 � Sofitel is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert Rippon as the General Manager Sofitel Shanghai Jin Jiang Oriental Pudong.

Prior to working with the Accor group, Mr. Rippon was the Assistant Manager at The Rose and Crown Hotel in Australia. After joining the Accor group as Resident Manager at Novotel Beachcomber Surfers Paradise in 1991, Mr. Rippon was appointed General Manager at Novotel Manado in Indonesia.

No stranger to China, Mr. Rippon has previously managed Sofitel Zhengzhou and Novotel Atlantis Shanghai and has most recently been posted as General Manager at the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16.
