Introducing the new Airbus A309 - 100.
The celebrations for entry into 2013 were heightened by the arrival of our brand new, Airbus A319-100, registration V5-ANN, on the 4th of January 2013 from the Airbus factory in Germany.
Equally important is to note that this new aircraft is owned by Air Namibia, purchased by our shareholder as part of the continuous equity injection into the airline.
We trust and believe that this will restore confidence in the market that Air Namibia is here to stay. The A319-100 has the same configuration as our other two A319-100 planes, 16 Business Class and 96 Economy Class seats.
The seat pitch in Business Class is a generous 54 inches while in Economy Class we offer 32 inches. On this aircraft, the noise levels in the cabin are low; it also offers modern onboard entertainment and extreme comfort. Our regional fleet is now an all Airbus A319-100.
