Following a highly successful summer with record numbers of guests staying at the hotel, Chewton Glen has received an impressive array of awards in the past few days from The Times, The Independent and Condé Nast Johansens, together with worldwide accolades from Conde Nast Traveler in the United States of America.

 

The Spa at Chewton Glen was named as the third 'Best British Spa 2013' by The Independent Newspaper, with first and second places being awarded to London spas at the Dorchester Hotel and the Langham Hotel. Glen also boasts a glamorous yet friendly spa with some of the most luxurious treatments around. The food is top-notch and they welcome day guests with some enticing current offers.

 

Luxury lifestyle magazine Tatler, have also included Chewton Glen's spa in the 2013 Spa Guide highlighting the relaxing Treehouses, the excellent treatments, including Linda Meredith, ila and the Balance Detox and Retreat programmes. 

 

Readers of The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sunday Times Travel Magazine voted Chewton Glen the runner-up in their 2013 award of the UK's Favourite Hotel with fellow Relais & Chateaux property Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, in Oxfordshire being voted the UK Winner and The Samling in Windermere also being voted joint-runner-up. The Travel Editor of The Times, commented: "What I love about this grand dame of British hotels is that you get all the best British traditions - croquet on the lawn an amazing afternoon tea along with some great modern touches". She also described the Treehouses at Chewton Glen as some of the most decadent she had ever seen and highly recommended the stunning indoor pool, the all-weather tennis courts, golf facilities and the beach, which is just a short walk away.

 

Chewton Glen's restaurant Vetiver was included in The Sunday Times list of the top 10 restaurants in the South West. The list included Gidleigh Park in Devon, Nathan Outlaw's restaurant in Cornwall and Christchurch's The Jetty, who come in at number 10. Vetiver was also included in the list of the country's 500 Best Restaurants in the Sunday Telegraph poll published in October 2013.

 

On Monday night, 4th November 2013, at a glittering awards-ceremony held at The Mayfair Hotel in London, Chewton Glen received 'The Best Hotel for Romance' award in the Condé Nast Johansens 2014 Annual UK & European Awards for Excellence and the property was also shortlist for three awards in the recent 'Mr & Mrs Smith annual awards ceremony'.
