EVA Air, Taiwan's leading independent airline, has won Gold at Business Traveller's “Cellars in the Sky Awards 2026” for its Business Class Sparkling Wine and in the Wellness, No and Low category. The “Cellars in the Sky Awards” have been recognising excellence in airline wine and beverage programmes for 40 years, and are one of the airline industry's most respected and enduring wine awards.
EVA Air was awarded Gold in the Business Class Sparkling Wine category for its Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle, which won the airline 96 points from the judges, illustrating the importance of multi-vintage sparklings within this highly-competitive category. The Silver Award went jointly to Qatar Airways, Air India, Air Tahiti Nui and Singapore Airlines, with the Bronze Award going to Korean Air.
The Gold award in the Drinks Innovation Wellness No & Low category went to EVA Air for its Oddbird Blanc de Blancs Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wine. The move reflects changing passenger expectations, with travellers increasingly seeking choice, wellness-focused alternatives and memorable drinks experiences throughout their journey.
Commenting on this years Cellars in the Sky Awards, Michael Keating, the CEO of Ink Publishing said: “For four decades, Cellars in the Sky has recognised excellence in airline wine and beverage programmes, shining a spotlight on the airlines, suppliers and individuals who continue to raise standards for travellers around the world. What began as a celebration of fine wines in the air has evolved alongside the industry itself, reflecting the growing importance of innovation, collaboration and exceptional hospitality across every stage of the journey.
“Congratulations to this year's winners and finalists. We are delighted to celebrate your achievements and look forward to recognising the next chapter of innovation in the years ahead.”
