From ancient cobbles to castle walls, through time and tide St Michael's Mount is beckoning. Situated just 400 yards off Mount's Bay in Marazion, St Michael's Mount is an iconic Cornish landmark and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the South West.

A Garden in a Castle (from 2 – 14 October) is inspired by the castle's history and artefacts.  The castle atop St Michael's Mount will come alive for the second year running, with an interpretive plant and flower display in the showrooms and church – curated by the Mount's creative gardening team.  Each of the displays will take inspiration from the design, form and colour of the garden to create a unique journey through the castle that includes a fireplace alight with succulents and flowers; a focus on artefacts found in the garden; a library alive with plant connections; a living picture and last year's star-attraction: a suggestion of the bottom walled garden.

Further along the castle route, visitors will be able to enjoy a seasonal floral display in the church and then discover another of the gardeners' talents through pictures, ropes and knots, reflecting on the team's unusual task of abseiling from the foundations of the castle to preserve the fine balance of vegetation on the southern cliffs above the garden.

Tickets/Opening Times: St Michael's Mount castle, shops and restaurants are open daily (except Saturdays) from 13 March until 30 October 2016.  Please note, the Gardens are not open on a Sunday.
