Educational and cultural Aboriginal festival set for 2005 Mark your calendars for one of the country�s largest aboriginal festivals, the annual Garma Festival from August 6-10, 2005. Featuring over 50 clans from Australia�s Top End, the five-day festival aims to encourage, preserve and celebrate North East Arnhemland Aboriginal (Yolngu) culture.
Under the ancient sounds of the Didjeridoo, over 50 clans will gather at the festival site. Look through traditional and contemporary visual art, attend conferences with senior indigenous leaders and learn about traditional land and sea management.
