From wreath-making overlooking the fairy tale isle of St Michael's Mount to bracing the Cornish waters for an annual Christmas Day swim, there are plenty of reasons why the festive season is best in the South West...

Mount Haven, Marazion 

Guests can enjoy all that West Cornwall has to offer at this magical time of year at Mount Haven in Marazion. Offering a three night Cornish Christmas Break this festive season, guests will be treated to a performance by local carol singers on Christmas Eve, followed by the choice of small plates and festive cocktails, designed in partnership with the award winning FARE London and Sager+Wilde, or dinner in the restaurant, lovingly created by head chef, Ross Sloan, and his team. On the big day, Mount Haven will be a home-away-from-home for guests, offering age-old Christmas traditions including a Bucks Fizz breakfast, a four course festive feast with all the trimmings and a scrumptious platter of cheese, port and other treats served in the evening.

Godolphin Arms, Marazion 

Overlooking St Michael's Mount, one of UK's most famous landmarks, guests will feel as though they have been transported into a Cornish Christmas fairy tale at the Godolphin Arms this December. With an array of fun festive events held here, the Godolphin Arms is the spot to enjoy this merry time of year. The celebrations kick off with a Christmas Market on the 28th November, where guests can do some last minute Christmas shopping, tempted by a selection of gifts made by local artists and creators. The Christmas Party Nights are the perfect way to celebrate with loved ones, fit with a festive feast, an outdoor fire pit, a live performance from local band, Slapdash Trio, and of course, plenty of bubbles. Guests can also join the creative team from Heart of the Woods for a Wreath-making Workshop to create their very own Cornish Christmas wreath, alongside plenty of festive treats. Using a selection of ribbons, dried fruit and festive foliage such as holly and pine sprigs, foraged from the beautiful surroundings, led by woodland expert and floral arranger, Jo, the wreaths will be the perfect way to ignite the Christmas spirit.

The Christmas Party Nights at the Godolphin Arms are available on 29th, 30th November and 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th December 2019 and are priced at £40pp.

The Scarlet, Mawgan Porth

With plenty of opportunity to wave watch, enjoy a brisk walk across the coastal path or hunker down with a winter warmer by the log fire, the Scarlet is an ideal retreat for a cosy yet luxurious coastal Christmas. Offering a Pre-Festive Escape and a Twixmas Hideaway Break in addition to its four or five night Christmas Break, guests are spoiled for choice with festive celebrations.
